The Huronia Hospitals Foundation is grateful for all donations it receives to support local hospital services. No matter what size, your gift is contributing to both maintaining and enhancing our modern, welcoming and caring environment for patients. In general, donations are recognized in the following ways:

Donor Recognition Level 1 - up to $249

  • formal thank you letter from the Foundation and official tax receipt
  • receipt of Huronia Hospitals Foundation New Horizons newsletter

Donor Recognition Level 2 - $250 TO $999

  • personal thank you by phone call following receipt of donation
  • formal thank you letter from the Foundation and official tax receipt
  • receipt of Huronia Hospitals Foundation New Horizons newsletter
  • photo with Foundation/hospital representatives for media use upon request

Donor Recognition Level 3 - $1,000 to $9,999

  • personal thank you by phone call immediately after receipt of donation
  • formal thank you letter from the Foundation and official tax receipt
  • receipt of Huronia Hospitals Foundation New Horizons newsletter
  • personal invitation to appropriate Foundation or hospital events
  • media photo of cheque presentation or new piece of equipment purchased
  • recognition in the Foundation New Horizons donor newsletter when appropriate
  • recognition in the NSHA Noteworthy staff newsletter when appropriate

Donor Recognition Level 4 - $10,000 +

  • personal thank you by visit if appropriate or by phone call immediately after receipt of donation

The Huronia Hospitals Foundation has donor recognition walls at both local hospitals. Donors who have made past donations to either the Foundation, Huronia District Hospital or Penetanguishene General Hospital (or a combination of any of the three) are recognized for their total donations in the following categories:

Local hospital executive directors Gord Key and Doris Shirriff gratefully thanked Kindred Industries Limited employees for a recent $12,000 towards the dialysis campaign. Jim Green, Donna Bressette, Cliff Patenaude and Case de Jong were presented with a certificate of appreciation on behalf of the Huronia Hospitals Foundation for their efforts and leadership in supporting local community efforts. Kindred has planned to continue the same level of support to the hospitals for the next two years.
